He contacted me on MeetMindful and immediately asked to communicate by text. He claimed to be a UN neurosurgeon stationed in Kabul for 9 months. He said he was about to end the mission, return to the US and retire. We had multiple long conversations on WhatsApp.

I immediately thought that he sounded African. He told me that he kept a Greek accent because he was born in Greece. After 2.5 weeks of intense communication, he asked for money claiming that his accounts were frozen and that he needed funds to pay for the airfare back to the US. He then sent me a fake form for me to sign. I finally had his email and found out that he was denounced on a German romance dating site back in 2015. He denied it when I emailed it to him.

I blocked off all communication.
