Bryan Hudson aka Darren Ricardo Wayne, Engineer, Independent Contractor - Reno/GOM

The person I've been communicating with for nearly a year tells me his name is Bryan Hudson, formerly of Scotland, Baltimore, Dallas and now Reno. We've had a few phone conversations and hundreds of texts/emails.

When we first began talking he was excited about a project in the Gulf of Mexico and he was waiting to hear if he was chosen to travel to GOM to present his proposal. We had planned to meet, then the word came through that he was to travel to GOM to present his proposal, one of five contractors.

He said he was on Blake Rig 14 and he was presenting to a Scottish company (didn't give me the company name). He said he was awarded the contract but then was disqualified because he lacked certain IADC credentials. After that, he was "stuck" on the oil platform. He said there was a fraudulent transaction on his bank account in April 2015 and his internet banking was shut down.

He said he had money to pay me back, but can't access it from the oil platform. He's needed money for certifications, renewals, seals, chopper fees and more recently, a helipad fee. To this point I've paid all but the helipad fee.

All this time he has said there is much he needs to tell me, about himself and his past, and he would only do that in person. Like I said, we've exchanged hundreds of messages, all geared toward being together when this is all over in the Gulf.

I've done searches through google images and have found a few FB pages and LinkedIn accounts with his photos. When I called him out the FB page, he said it wasn't his profile (but was his photo) and he reported it to FB. I also discovered other sites with his photos and when I called him on that, he said he had used the user name "Wayne" for online dating a few years ago. I hadn't given him the name I'd found and the dates (2013) matched.

I'd performed searches for this type of scam before (yes, it was in the back of my mind that it may be a scam) and found nothing, so all along I thought I was doing the right thing by helping this person. So glad to have found this site! Has anyone else out there encountered this person or a similar story?
