He approached me on Zoosk. A widower with a son. Wife killed in a "ghastly" car accident. Red flags - wanted off Zoosk asap; was very formal in letters; first letter there was a cut and paste that had different font - that he was a true Christian man etc.

Then he told me how he had been lonely for all his life. Then said something about his ex wife dying. To be fair he actually did respond to some personal questions. Strange correspondence times - because he was in turkey working on a job - was going to pick up his son at Christmas from boarding school in states but he lived in Toronto.

The pictures of the man were gorgeous - there was one of him and his son in the ocean - he had his arm around his son's shoulder with a wedding ring
-far too many darlings, honeys, hun, babe etc.

He kept sending me lots of pics - in his underwear etc. - but the background did not seem consistent with turkey accommodation. One had a set of sheets with Toronto skyline - the pic was supposed to have been taken that day in turkey
-but the biggie was when he sent 2 different emails with the same cut and paste posts about all the things he would do for me- bubble baths, giving me his coat and he would endure the cold.

His English was great sometimes - not so much at others but that was because he was of german origin.

Even though I knew it was too good to be true - it still hurts.
