Dickson Morris (words with friends) scam

by Savanah

Hi, my name is Savannah. My scammers name is Dickson Morris. I met him on words with friends. He was a smooth talker for sure. His eyes were the real attraction for me. We talked a week or so on friends before he asked if we could move to google hangouts so we could talk on the phone easier.

He was an engineer on an oil rig, who made 850,000 dollars a year. His wife had died in an accident, which left him to raise his 2 children. His words to me, melted me like butter. He said all the right things. I truly felt we were falling in love. We talked for hours back an forth. We Began sexting and I began to send him photos of my myself. He called me his queen, and asked me to be his wife . At that point I was totally his. He told me he was on a 3 month job, and was going to come home to me his queen as soon as the job was over.

I couldn’t wait to meet him, and for us to make love under the stars. I was so happy and then I get a message that he was injured in a freak accident that he was responsible for, and he was hurt. I didn’t hear from him for a whole day. I was worried was sick. Then this is where the scam really kicked in. He said they was going to put him in jail because his accountant had disappeared and couldn’t get access to the money to fix his broken equipment. He was on a deadline and he didn’t know what he was going to do. Naturally I was emotional and asked him was there anything I could do because he was my baby.

He said can you borrow the money to help fix the machines so he could finish the job, then he would be paid and could quickly get home to his queen. The money he eventually asked for was 47,000.00 dollars. I told him, I don’t have that kind of money. He said he had some other options maybe he could raise some. Anyway, he got it down to around 20,000 he owed. He begged me for help.

In a couple of days I got a present in the mail with a letter asking me to marry him. The present was an engagement ring. I immediately said yes! So my dumbass went to the bank to see how much I could borrow, against my house. With some remortgage, I could come up with 15,000. I was so excited that he said they had agreed to take 15,000. He said we would pay off my house as soon as he got home. I got his routing numbers to his account and went and sent it.

I was so stupid, I have never heard from him again.

All you women out there, don’t be stupid.

Hello there, Do you have pictures of this guy? It would be great if you could send them out. I was talking to someone with pretty much the same story. Just a different name.

Scammer Born in Germany
by: Anonymous

I had a situation like that and his name was Davide Wagner and he was on Words With Friends also. A smooth talker, and good with words!

He told me he was born in Germany, had a 12 year old son whose mother left him when the boy was 2. The son lived with Davide's mother in Germany.

He was brining them to the states in December when he finished his job on the oil rig as a petroleum engineer in Shanghai, China.

We texted back and forth for a couple weeks and he told me he wanted an older wife because he could not trust young women. He was 58 and an I am 83!!! Imagine that he asked me to marry him after only talking a couple weeks. LOL

Then one day he asked me if I could send him $500 dollars. That was the end for me. I told him no, and he begged because he wanted to pay for the telephone bill because of some bogus reason the bank refused to take his check. He said his "boys" employees could no longer call home because the bill was not paid. I did not buy his story. He was very mad when I called him a fake.

That was when I blocked him from Words and from texting me!

BEWARE OF THE SMOOTH WORDS FROM THESE GUYS.

I'm so sorry

These guys are liars. It amazes me how they know the right words to say. My scammer supposedly got held at gun point and stabbed. I was dumb enough to send $3,500 to get them back to the States. Once I wired the money, I didn't hear from her for a week. When she finally arose from the dead, she stated she was arrested because her visa was expired.

At this point, I knew I was scammed. I also looked up the picture she sent me and by goosh, it happened to be a model. I was hurt because I thought I found the one. I still feel bad but to make it worst, this person still messages me on Hangout. I don't know why they choose hangout but I have been playing it smooth to see what other lies will come about.

I also learned a valuable lesson and that is to always do my research first. By the way, my name is Robert, I started the thread making people aware.

I am so sorry you are going through this, it’s awful. Yes, they are a ruthless bunch of pigs.

Assuming the engagement ring isn’t worth anything?

Hang in there!
