I think this guy is scamming my mom, who says he's widowed (wife died of cancer) with 2 grown daughters. Lives in Pittsburgh, PA and owns Elite Petrolum (this is how it is spelled on linkedin) LTD (out of Texas).

Born in Romania both parents are deceased. Went to college at University of Aberdeen. Has anyone had dealings with him? I have the pictures he sent her saying it was him.

I also was approached by Christopher Rasmussen with the identical biography, wife died of cancer, lived in San Francisco, daughter in Australia and grandchildren.

Someone using this and contacted me on a dating site. Nightly phone calls until he was suddenly called to work out a problem on an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico. Said he is a geologist living in San Francisco. That he moved there 3 yrs ago from Texas after his wife died.

He was born in Bournemouth England (has a heavy accent and has a daughter and grandchildren in Australia). I haven’t heard from him in 2 months. He said he’d be away 2-3 months to straighten out the oil rig problem. His web site seems clunky and when I reverse search his phone number another name comes up.

Anyone else have insight or information?

He is listed as one of the principal execs at the fake company my scammer created. While we were still in the romantic throes of our relationship, he had someone throw together a website. They cloned another website and included all the typos. This other website had not been updated since 2017. I guess they think we’re idiots and can’t use the Internet and can’t look things up. Let me know if you want to see the picture, but I would just go to LinkedIn looked up that look up that full name. And you will be able to see.

I can almost guarantee he is scamming her

Hello. I was recently catfished and scammed by someone on an online dating service. His résumé is identical to the one for Jacob Sergei Shelton. My scammer was named Christopher Rasmus, Anderson and he professed to own a gas and oil business.

He quoted me for many weeks as we talked on the phone, and then he asked me for money. I told him no, then he asked me again, and I asked my attorney for his advice, and he gave me a list of things I need to get in order to protect myself.

The scammer said he needed money to complete the purchase of a part on the oil rig.
