Met a guy online who says he is a widower with a daughter Sarah going to boarding school in UK. I have red flags flying all over the place. Said he is now on an oil rig for 3 weeks.

He got me for lots of money. I even looked him up on LinkedIn and the profile is gone. I have many photos including a California driver license and a debit card from Chase bank that had this same name on it. The phone number has nobody listed as a name according to been verified. He also sent me a cheap ring. He finally dropped me in early January and his email address disappeared.

I did speak to him once supposedly on the oil rig. He looks like the guy in the photos sent to me. Gray blonde hair glasses. I have photos of his dogs summer and Georgie. It’s him playing with them. While he was supposedly with me, I see he was scamming some other woman as of August 20th.

Im ashamed to say he got a lot of money out of me. I didn’t get that photo and his hair is gray blonde but the smile and teeth look the same. I got that he’s from Stockholm, parents dead, half American. Been on the oil rig for almost one year. Sent me phony contracts and it was always just a little more. Screamed at me when he doesn’t get his way.

When I told him I had no more money, he hung up on me and won’t answer my texts. He sent me a cheap engagement ring as one of his guys ran off with the good one.

Met him on wwf2. Asked to move to hangouts. Very romantic used beautiful baby. Wife died 3 years ago and he has two children boy and girl. Both in their 20's. Then he said he was working away for 4 weeks in the Gulf of Mexico. Sent me photos. I did online research after one of my friends sent me a link to oilrigscammers.

After several long emails from him he declared that he loved me and wanted to get married on his oil rig. I asked him to send me photos and he did unfortunately the photo he sent me was on the scammers website he had super imposed his face on the guys picture. He didn't ask me for money. We only communicated for two weeks.

Listen to your gut. If it seems too good to be true then it is. I sent him the link to his photo. He is very very convincing. Spend time looking through the scamming websites. Do your ground work. If you smell a rat he is a rat. I thank God I found out. Have now blocked him and if you receive a photo of him with his two children followed by one of him in a pool on the front of a Christmas card and another one he sent he took his son out for a meal.

He has a beer in his hand and a salmon salad. I don't doubt it's his son as they look so much alike especially the nose. He uses becos a lot. Don't be fooled.

I have been talking to this man for a month and to be honest I really started to have good feelings about him. He said he won a contract on an oil rig and last week asked for money for a machine he cannot completely pay for so he cannot finish his project, we cannot be happy and rich.

He told me he lives in California in the detached house downtown of LA, his mother died in 2012 and he has never been married and has no children. Luckily I haven't forwarded any money but awful that someone plays with other people's feelings and hopes

I met this same guy playing Words With Friends. Says he is Swedish, widowed with a 16 year old daughter. He claims to be a captain on a cargo ship living in Boston now. He is not real bright because I found several loopholes in his story. On four different occasions he told me he moved from Atlanta, GA to Phoenix, AZ. Yet his wife died in Los Angeles. " I told you I moved from Atlanta to California". Told me he had a four bedroom flat in Boston; looked up the address his "daughter" gave me and it’s a two bedroom.
