Oil rig scammer - Derrick Connor from Dayton, Ohio

On or about mid October of 2024, I was contacted by a man supposedly named Derrick Connor, and after 5 months of conversing & being love bombed (after talking just 2 weeks), on Tik Tok & through email, I questioned whether or not I was not being cat fished because his use of the English language was suspect at times, as a result, “Derrick” emailed me a copy of his Ohio drivers license which I have recently learned is fraudulent.  

The address on the Ohio drivers license gives his home address and he claimed to be the property owner, but I called the state of Ohio and have since learned that he is not, nor has ever been the owner of that property.

After becoming friends, I became extremely suspicious after he requested that I call his bank account in NY which I believe was Chase Bank, and he stated that he would give me his account number & he requested that I call the bank to obtain his account balance because he stated that he was currently working on an oil rig in the middle of the ocean and that he was unable to do so himself due to poor internet service.

He stated that if I was uncomfortable doing this that I could simply block the bank’s number from my phone after I obtained “his” account balance. When I declined to get involved, stating that my gut instinct told me that something was wrong, I declined getting involved, he quickly became very irate and cut off all contact with me and he even closed his Tik Tok account on March 6, 2025, I believe was the date.  His Tik Tok account name at that time was @DerrickConnor25.

I have saved some of his emails as well as the photos he sent over the course of our contact, should you need them.

More about his oil rig story:
He claimed to be a divorced father to a 12 yr old daughter, who was in boarding school while he was away working on the oil rig. Both parents were deceased. He claimed to be an only child and that he drives a 2 year old Range Rover. He claimed to be 58 years old. He claimed to be very wealthy and had enough money to currently afford to live the remainder of his life in Beverly Hills.

On March 17, 2025, he sent me an email with a photo that I had previously sent him of myself, not showing my face & not indecent & he called me a fat pig with a laughing emoji, so he’s still using the derrickconnor25@gmail email.
 
On 3/20/25, he reappeared on Tik Tok under then name of Derrick Connor 8.
