We had a Kirby Vacuum salesman come to out house in Minnsota years ago and he stayed there for several hours even though we had somewhere to go.
His supervisor came over and tried to pressure us. Finally we were able to kick them out of the house. Fast forward to last month. A Kirby salesman once again came to our door, this time in Nebraska. He wanted to demonstrate his product (code word for sale).
This time I was wiser and told him no and closed the door in his face even as he continued demanding an audience.
My Kirby word of wisdom: say no and close the door.
