Online dating scam, she goes by the name of Kwiola Janet

This girl is beautiful and claims to be a geologist. We had chatted for months before she wanted Itunes cards. After that it was emergency after emergency requesting for more money to fix equipment, money for food and bail from Jail. She even had a man call posing as her lawyer. This time on her way through the checkpoint at the airport drugs were found in her rocks.

Now she needs me to send 10,000 dollars or she is going to prison.

Does anyone know of this scam that is going on right now?

There are a lot of RED FLAGS in everything you posted. I had a man attempt similar things after months of contact. Yes they suck you in for a while, then want gift cards and if you say no they will say it is ok but are setting you up for "the kill" which is when they need the big bucks.

I just said I did not have money making up things that "broke down" waiting for him to ask for the high dollar value which ended up being $75,000. I know someone sucked out of her savings because of a man who was supposedly arrested and the lawyer made contact. He shows up on the scammer imaging sites.

Red Flags - Run, Run, Run away fast.

Absolutely she is a scammer. Did you have a video call with her? Did you meet her in person? If all are "no", don't trust anything from this relationship.
