If the scammer claims to be from the UK and gives you their phone number 0114470 ect. the 011 is for UK the 44 is for london but the 70 means they have this phone number outside the UK.

Also scammers claiming to work for the police can be checked by badge number with the Metropol police in UK on line. ALL officers have a badge number.
