A friend of mine is involved with a Orthopedic Surgeon attached to the US Army who says he is originally from Moscow, widowed with a teenage daughter that is being taken care of by his house keepers living in Florida. She has been talking to this individual on the phone daily. He was stationed in Afghanistan and is now residing in the UK.

His medical machines were shipped to the UK as well but they contained medications and custom confiscated them to check out the legitimacy of these "medications" stored in his machines. He had to hire and attorney to get all that straightened out. It was all cleared but now he needs money to pay his legal fees.

He gave my friend his attorneys contact info, even had this person call her. He also shared his bank account info with her and supposedly has several million dollars in his account. Since he was working in Afghanistan he is now locked out of his bank account and can not pay his legal fees or his ticket to come back to the US.

His story is incredible and when I heard it I had all sorts of red flags going off. Yesterday she called and asked me to loan her $13,000. That's how much money he needs to come home. He will pay her back within 2 weeks of coming back home, he is offering her $40,000 as payback.

This woman is seriously trying to raise the money, she even tried to have her house refinanced.

Has anyone been contacted by this person and if so, what was the outcome. She is not going to believe anything I have to say. I would like to show her proof that this is all a major scam and nothing more.
