He says:

Infantry in US ARMY for 17 years. Never states an MOS - Just weapons specialist who works underground with limited phone access. Says he's from the Netherlands with two kids - one 22 and in the ARMY on a "mission", the other living with his parents. Wife died.

Said he got a 6 week leave approved and needed $285 to pay for the leave and that the military would be paying for the Army hotel.

hmmm whatever.

I'm attaching a photo he provided. The number he gave was 512-859-6105. VM says "text line" not available.

Could be either NIgerian or Russian or nearby areas.

How can I find out who he is really is? How can we get him to stop.

What can we do

Well there is something we can actually do which is to play their game until they provide a name to direct the western union deposit, and report it to Interpol. Its an idea and only in cases where a Western Union deposit is involved. It's so frustrating and it upsets me to think of the many lives they have destroyed. I hope for the best for all the victims and that we at least can get some of them out if their game.

Hi. First of all the picture he is using in his profile, must be stolen. Most of them are. There is little we can do to definitly stop these scammers, other than sharing the names they are going by in all social notworks as possible. You must report the profile, at least to avoide this person keeps on using that name. Sharing the pics is good for other victims as they might recognize them and be safe or at least know what and who they are dealing with.

Sorry you can't. These people are taking real individuals pictures and using them as their own. Most of the pictures are victims of theirs. I'm awaiting to see when my pictures will surface because I too was victimized.

Report it to the administrators of that url. Tell them it is likely a false profile. Stupid scammers as military records can be searched.
