I met this guy on Plenty of Fish. I knew he was a scammer (he would say 'am Robert' and 'know am handsome but wanted to try the dating scene) but I played along for awhile so I could get his email. Never got a phone number though. We emailed back and forth for a bit.

He told me he was a Telecommunication Engineer, not sure what that is. He had a son named Michael. Had been widowed for 7 years. Today he sent me a email telling me all of his likes and dislikes, then wanted to know mine. I started with my likes - music, etc. then I went into my dislikes which included people who lie about who they are and use pictures of innocent men to lure lonely women into loving them and then stealing their hard earned money from them.

I said people like you. He didn't like that; sent me back a email saying I don't know where this is coming from, how can you say this to me and don't ever contact me again.

He goes by the name of Robert J. Marco - robjm49@gmail.com.

His username on POF is Legendary629.

I will share the pictures he had on the dating site. I was scammed a few months ago, now I can spot them more easily, they are everywhere.

I got photos of the same man. Totally sucked in! He is actually a photographer from Quebec. Poor guy has his pictures stolen all the time.

This man was going by Edgar John on Facebook when he messaged me. Got irate when I pegged him as a scammer. He got very belligerent and accusing.

Perry Adam ~ He is coming back for More

HI. I met this one on POF and he says his name is Perry Adam. I remember baiting him for awhile but his story became boring and repetitive. I would tell him you get what you put into it. You put nothing in. You get nothing. hahaha !!

Anyway I got a text message from him asking me to come back to him cos he misses me. YIKES ~ Is he kidding as boring a story as he has. He would think I would continue to bait him. LOL

They are all cheesy, idiots with weak stories of tragedy and loss.

There is only one that will ever have my heart in a match and we have been into this for 11 months now. Our 1 year anniversary and his birthday is next month. He is smart, intelligent, suave and is articulate. But he is stubborn and will not come out of the closet and tell me the truth. He sticks to his story very methodically. To some degree he knows how to work me but I never let him get to any of my personal information or send him money.

His latest updated story is he is now working a road construction job in order for him to pay $5000 that he owes to a travel agency. Once this is paid he is coming back. hahaha!! RIGHT ~ He seems to put up with my unruly behaviour with ease. haha. He says I have a temperament issue. OMG. I break up with him at least 2x a week or more. He comes back like an eveready bunny and does not miss a beat!!

I really wanted to end the match but he is so persistent, besides he did buy me a cheesy cubic zirconia promise ring.. such a nice touch!!

This is also a scammer and I found many women that have been scammed by him. he is from St Louis...lives occasionally in Portland and Elk Grove, CA.

Scammed two women in Long Beach CA. and owes a sum of money. Always traveling and using women...please be advised he is a black male 5'9" 46 years old with a birthday December 14 or 19th. Depending on what he will tell you...claims to be a alpha male doesn't have a driver's license.

Be warned...says he owns an IT company and works remotely.

Stay away!

I met this one on POF as well. He gave me a different email and we chatted a lot on Hangouts.
His game became boring so I blocked and deleted him without hesitation.

I have his photos posted on my blog. He is one of the many I have played with over the years.

It's true. They are all over and they come in all sizes and color... the profile is very similar in most cases but...sometimes they play different.

I was scammed once; by a Spanish guy...we met in Tagged. We were friends for over a year...he was very handsome and got a lot of women following him. He was very young at the time...22 or so..and one day he told he was going on vacation to Peru. I wished him farewell.

One day he sent an e-mail telling me he was assaulted in Machu Pichu and that a good man helped him to get back to Lima and hosted him for free, but he needed money to eat and to get transportation to the Spanish embassy back and for, until he got his passport back. He asked if I can lend him $100.00. It was not a big amount so I sent it via western union. Then he asked for another 100 to pay the airport tax, taxi and meals on the day of his trip back home, and promised to send me the money back as soon as he recovers his life.

I'm still waiting for the refund, but learned about scammers.

I have a few names of scammers...Erick Peters...Engineer from England, single and lives with his mother. He melts the heart with letters, poems, and songs...and cares for you, and has great conversation's skills. He tells you he loves you within a month, after that he claims to be traveling to Ukraine and wants to send you a gift. He told me he was sending a lap top, perfume, golden ring (engagement) some roses bucket, and lots of Sterling pounds, 14,000.00 to be precise, hidden inside the suit case with all the gifts.

I'm in Central America, and one day I got a call from Malaysia telling me my parcel was there and I needed to send $700.00 addressed to Michael which was something in order to redirect my parcel to my country. I knew it was a scam from the beginning and was playing the game, so I told him about the phone call and asked him for the 700 plus 50 to pay a fee in my country. He got so angry and told me he didn't have his credit cards with him...(sure) but would take care of the parcel. I never heard from him ever again.

Steve Arjo, single father, with a sweet little boy. I let him perform all his act to see how far he could get. He told me he works for the US government, and was transferred to Nigeria. Suddenly the boy got sick and he was asking for help, told him to take him to the doctor, and told me the boy had a heart condition and ran out of medicine, and didn’t get his salary yet…told him to go to the nearest American embassy. Got very upset and told me the life of "our" son was in my hands.

The terrible thing about this one is that Setve Arjo actually exists and he stole his identity.

We should write a book about scammers and list them by names and pictures. Even more, we should prosecute them by Interpol. This must stop. Thousands of good people had lost their money and life savings by the scammers.

God help them.
