Rude Supervisor

On 7/1/2021, they came to our house telling a lie that they are local cleaning personnel who just started their small business near our neighborhood and they would like to demonstrate their work cleaning a carpet in our hallway. Since we were planning to wash carpets in our house, thinking it would be better if we give our business to neighborhood folks, we agreed and let them in.

First of all two people entered our house and started cleaning the carpet. While doing their job, they were talking too much and were also asking too much personal questions. Although we were little bit irritated by their questions, since they were talking nicely, we also talked nicely and answered most of their questions.

They then suddenly started talking about their vacuum cleaner and started pushing us to purchase it. We very politely rejected them. They sounded like they were only following the order of their supervisor and requested us to listen a little bit more about their product so that their supervisor won't be mad at them.

They stopped only when we told them that if asked, we would tell their supervisor that we got all the information about their product. After a few minutes, their supervisor arrived and started pushing us to purchase their vacuum cleaner for $1,800 which we denied mentioning price as the reason and also asked him to leave his contact information so that we would consult with other family members and will call him if decided to purchase.

Then he suddenly started speaking rudely with us and also started making jokes about our culture and family origin. That made us really mad and asked them to leave immediately. The other two were trying to leave but the supervisor didn't let them leave and was still pushing us to purchase their product. Even after several requests to leave, he was not leaving our house or letting his people to leave.

After asking him loudly to leave a few more times, he asked his staff to pack up their stuff and leave. While packing up their stuff, he was making jokes about our race and culture which even his staff didn't respond. We could see clearly they were very uncomfortable with their supervisor's activity.

We finally loudly and rudely asked him to leave and then they finally left. Had they not left our house, we would call police. Never had such experience before!

After this incident, no matter how good their products are, I would never buy any Kirby products.
