A guy named Harry Beller contacted me on Facebook. He claimed he was from Florida, a widower, have a 15-year-old daughter, working on a contract with United Nations as an Orthopedic doctor in Syria since 2000 and planning to get retired soon.
I chatted casually with him on FB messenger as I was free and bored today after Christmas, nothing serious. After chatting for 10 minutes, he asked me to download Google Hangouts. I didn't like Hangouts but he insisted on using Hangouts. I disliked his attitude trying to control me. I started to feel suspicious as he wanted to chat on Hangouts and asked me my Gmail while he was the one started the chat on FB messenger in the first place.
Besides, his FaceBook has no posts, no friends, no description except saying that he works for the UN as a doctor in Syria.
His English was a bit strange too. He said he wanted to be a close friend with me. Things didn't seem logical and it is somewhat like a joke: a handsome doctor needs to look for a woman on the internet? no friends around and needed a close friend from the internet?? My heart told me that there is something wrong with that guy. To confirm that, I searched on the internet and found his photos on a website identifying him as a scammer.
He had used (or stolen) someone's pic and pretended to be an architect named xxxx William (couldn't remember that fake first name), and now became a fake Orthopedic doctor named Harry Beller.
I blew him off and blocked him on FB right away to stop him further getting my info. Later, he still texted me on Hangouts asking me why I had blocked him. Oh well, he is so stupid. Please don't forget to block him on Hangouts too.
