Cutest on Zoosk

Cutest on Zoosk

I met the above scammer 2 weeks ago on Zoosk going by the name of Cutest. He said that he downloaded the App when he visited Cape Town last month. The pictures he uses on Zoosk is of an attractive man (obviously stolen).

He claims to be a 44 year old Brazilian man living in California and is a senior engineer on an oil rig. He is divorced as his wife cheated on him with his best friend whilst he is away working contracts and has sole custody of their son Murphy who lives with his mom in Brazil and a restraining order against his wife.

He is persistent and will care about you tremendously, ask you to marry him and live with him and his son in Brazil. Pictures of his son was also sent and daily love poems and picture messages.

He interacted with me every single day in the last two weeks through Whatsapp and I became suspicious when I tried calling the number internationally (and not through the usual Whatsapp Audio)and got a message on the other side saying that the number is invalid. He told me in the second week of chatting that he received a huge contract from Aloga Oil in South African and he will be in our country 14 November 2016 to commence with work for 6 weeks and sent me some bogus message with flight times etc when I asked him to send me a picture of his plane ticket.

By Google searching his phone number I was lead to this site where another lady with whom he had given the same story wrote of her experience.

Thank goodness!!!

He didn't ask me for money at this point, though I am sure this would have been inevitable.

What is disturbing is that Zoosk verified his pictures even though they were stolen. I used a random picture, not of me and uploaded onto the App and it was verified as me!! And what is most disturbing is that this man is using pictures of an innocent human being and the sickening part about this is that he is also using pictures of an innocent child.

The contact numbers he uses are +1(252) 585-5230 and +1(323) 531-5855.

Carlos Ribeiro oil rig scammer
by: Ilana

He scammed me too. Met him on Tinder when I was in South Africa. He uses the name Carlos Ribeiro. He is divorced, works on an oil rig in California and has sole custody of his son. I dialed his Californian number, and it went to voice mail but after a second attempt he answered.

So he definitely makes use of a router. Couldn't video call cause his phone fell into oil.

Something sounded off about him, maybe the quick declaration of love?! I searched oil rig scammer and his pics came up.

Ladies be careful

CARLOS ON TINDER
by: Anonymous

This guy is currently chatting to me on whatsapp and thanks to my family who care about me, they checked the internet and managed to establish that he is indeed a scam artist. He hasn't asked me for money yet and I am very tempted to see where this story ends.

Carlos Erico is his latest name
by: Anonymous

This guy is a professional scammer. Ladies watch out! I met him on Tinder in May this year but under the name of Carlos Erico. His story is the same. He pretends to be an oil engineer that got a 6 weeks contract job on a rig offshore of Gordon's Bay.

Be very cautious ladies. He introduces himself as a Brazilian but in fact this guy is a Nigerian as I recognized his accent. He romanced me, promised to marry me and to take me to Costa Mesa in California, where he resides. Then all of a sudden he asked me for a huge amount of money to clear an oil extraction machine from the customs in Cape Town. That triggered something in my mind and I started checking him on internet.

Thank you guys for putting up this site with so much information on all those scammers.

Ladies, I know we all fell for this guy as he spoke the language we all wanted to hear. I know a lot of us, if not all of us, are in need of love, care and a better life. However, let's not fall for temptation of false promises; as hard as it might be sometimes, let's just think about the pain we might have to endure by losing all our money versus the peace and freedom to still have it.

A good partner will come for each one of us, in good time. In the meantime, let's celebrate life and be very cautious on any online dating site.

Richard Lorenzo, Senior Engineer
by: Lisa

Yes, me too. SCAMMER: Richard Lorenzo. A female on match.com initially contacted me about "a friend." Wife died, son (Mario) in college in Florida, senior engineer, just got assigned to South Africa.

Supposedly his laptop and new iphone were stolen at the airport. He was going to retire after this project. Pretends to be rich, offering a comfortable and sweet life together.

He knows scripture, very patient, sends poetry. I fell for it. Stolen picture on match.com. After getting my email address he stole my owm match.com profile and was trying to scam people in California (using myself as the female bait.. "woman to woman, my friend is a good man. Just a little shy.")

Scammed by Leroy Larry
by: Anonymous

Same story as the others except mine has a daughter. He is a supervisor on an Oil Rig 6 in the Gulf of MEXICO. Or so he says! Claims to be religious. Catholic.

Plans to retire when this contract is completed in approximately one month at which time he is paid $7 million dollars. But he asked me yesterday to buy him one thousand dollar ITUNES phone card and yelled at me today because I told him I don't have that kind of money.

Talk of romance was a big part of the beginning of our relationship just a few days ago. Said he wanted to marry me.

BEWARE of Leroy Larry!!!!

Zoosk Scammer - Pedro Levy Diego
by: Anonymous

Yes, he is very charming and tends to bring out the caring side to a person. Sadly the pictures are stolen and you're dealing with a Nigerian man. Luckily for me it didn't get to the point where he was going to ask for money with some sop story attached.

The phone numbers are indeed fake, they can set up a number and route it from whichever part of the world.

The more the word spreads these scammers will not get away with defrauding innocent women. And I have learned if it is too good to be true it most certainly is not.

Also had a run in with this guy. Exact same story...very romantic and caring and painting a beautiful family picture...currently in South Africa on the supposed oil rig contract....never asked for money until yesterday.

Seems he haa timeslots for all his 'victims' but six weeks later and he now requires money to fulfil his fake oil contract. The number he is calling from is a fake number.

Application available on the net thus I suspect he stays in Cape Town. Very charming and very skilled in dealing with woman.
