Scammer who introduced himself as Evan

Watch out for this scammer. He uses his photos from Richard Wilson the newbiefit on Instagram. Richard is from Switzerland and has had his account since Feb 2016 and the account name has never changed. Richard is not the scammer. He also warns others on his page about others using his photos

Richard Wilson is innocent. His photos are being used.

This scammer approach me on Instagram in Dec 2023. We talk on Instagram about everything from business, family, life and such. In January I had somethings happen to me. He was there to listen and to check in with me to make sure things were going okay. He never missed a day. Always said good morning and good night. Just friends.

February, he starts to tell me more about his life. Of course all lies I know now. He took care of his Aunt and her three kids and his mom. Which was believable. I have taken care of family members before. His Dad is gone. Okay, I understand that I have lost them too. So we go on. We continue to talk. He is sweet and kind. I loved talking to him. He made my day when everything else was falling apart at that time.

So a few weeks later he calls in a panic. He just bought a new laptop for his work and monitor. When he got back to his job he didn't have his wallet. So he asked me if I could send him some money. Of course I hesitated but then I thought he has done a lot for me and it is not that much.

So I did. We continue to talk and things just grew. Then it became a thing and yes before that I looked him up. I had a picture of him but nothing came up. I had numbers etc. Everything was clean about him. Never could find a thing. So our relationship went on.

We plan we would meet up but when we were supposed to in June his contract was extended. So that never happened. So it was July and by now I am tired of being put off and I have put money out and he sent me checks for some of it. Then he sent me these checks to hold on to when we were together for later.

But like I said by July I took those pictures I had of him and kept searching him. Finally the first picture from the beginning that never showed anything the first time did. Bingo, He is Michael Gregory on LinkedIn too.

You can't be both people.

That is when I asked him and of course he denied it. I got upset and stopped talking to him. He finally called me from a Nigerian phone number and he is Nigerian. He wanted to come clean and said his name is Mark Dustan Evan and he wants a life with me.

I went to the bank and the checks were fake which I knew and I reported everything. I found out he scammed another woman while with me and a lawyer the detective said.

Do not be ashamed to go and report what happened. Do not listen to others who say they wouldn't fall for this or how stupid you are and don't believe there are people out there who can get your money back they cannot.

They are scammers.

Social catfish I used to search this guy and other sites did not help either.

He use photos of a mustang and jeep that are someone else's photo he scammed plus a black Harley Davidson motorcycle, and boats as his toys.
