I contracted with a Kirby office after calling a number on a sign that said,"$500 a week to start", and got an interview. I knew it was sales because they told me it was customer service and to dress professional.

Long story short I went to the interview and got the job..I eventually became the number one dealer in the office by my 3rd month.

I fell in love with the product and I appreciated the opportunity. Why I recently left is not related at all to the product or the general sales model.

THE KIRBY IS THE ONLY MACHINE THAT WILL GET ALL THE DIRT OUT OF YOUR CARPET. BELIEVE IT. IF YOU DON'T THEN YOU PROBABLY SHOULD SIT THROUGH A DEMO IN YOUR OWN HOME.

I think this is the only way anyone would ever consider the product because in our office the price was $2695.43.

That being said, I still want to help and/or warn anyone who recently started to watch what you say and do in front of people who have been there for a while. This is a tough job and if you are doing good and start to have trouble making money it could be that your manager or another higher up could have it in for you.

I know it sucks but if you want to make a lot of money in most any distributors office every week then play dumb. Record everything and keep your opinions to yourself. Basically never outshine the master.

If you really have made sales and are not happy on payday then consider these before blaming a jealous coworker...

ARE YOU AWARE OF HOW YOU GET PAID AND HOW TO CALCULATE YOUR COMMISSION?

Hw much did you sell the machine for and what did you offer?

Is it close to the full price?

Are you getting dropped off if a nearby area instead of the area youre working?

Are you remaining positive and saving/moving your money in a profitable way?

If you can say yes to all especially getting dropped off in a bad neighborhood nearby then you need to stay quiet and make it at least 2 more weeks. Then if youre still getting shafted leave and dont go back.
