Yes I have been married for 25 years been with my husband for 28 years but we have had a lot of problems and because of neglect and loneliness I was also having problems with some family members I was vulnerable and when the pandemic hit is when I feel I was a victim of the same man you all are talking about. I am on a disability and he used Mvrberlin photos and I believed it was him. We have talked for a whole year and I sent him pictures. I mean stupid stuff I wish I wouldn't have sent him and I discovered what was going on because he sent me a photo and it had a unusual account name in one of the corners of the photo I guess he forgot to edit out and that's when I looked it up and found this site and Instagram I was sure the photos were from Instagram.

I will tell you now it is not the white guy in the photos as this man actually video chatted me and I know he is a Nigerian African man not from Germany as his voice sounds like the guy from Berlin in them photos and that's what throws you off but it's a completely different person as he is a black African Nigerian man and he has been putting me through so much hell he is making my life miserable.

He used my name and he said it was free government money and I found out later it was unemployment money that was sent to my paypal account that I don't have now as he got all that money and I have struggled so bad and betrayed and I am ashamed to tell my own husband because I thought I was in love and helping someone get home that got trapped because of the pandemic and got their ID and personal items stolen.

I messed up on several bank accounts because of him and now he is saying me and my husband will lose our disability income because if I don't do what he says he will call and report us claiming unemployment benefits and all kinds of stuff and he said he will send my pictures I sent him to all my family on media and to all my children demanding money.

I need someone to help me if there is a agent out here that can read this I can help catch this guy I know how to make him show his self to me and send me his real photo. He sent me his account info and paid off my $600 credit card. He even has videos of women saying he’s their sugar daddy and his payments go through.

But then he wanted me to buy him a $500 eBay card and $500 amazon card.

I am not sure if it’s only about money for him. I would rather guess it is about a good life, power, control and a sort of revenge towards women, women who just lost a husband, son or family.

Says he is a Widower, daughter in college in the UK; Wants me to meet his mother, Sarah in the UK, marry him and be the mother to his daughter. Have only texted and talked once. Go figure.

I've been leery from Day 1 on May 29th on Plenty of Fish. Called me by another name; accused him of cutting & pasting; said he meant I was a "jewel", not Julie - autocorrect.

Asked me if I own anything I consider luxuries. Red Flag! Very demanding. After a few texts, demanded I get off Plenty of Fish. I said No. Red Flag. Wanted to meet for lunch; I was on the road, he text a very graphic story about having diarrhea and couldn't meet.

I told him to take a hike. He's been texting me today and calling; I'm ignoring him. Says he lives in Scottsdale, rents apartment and works from home with his company, Cliff Enterprises. Number he is using is 602-800-6731. Says birthday is May 3, states he is a Virgo on POF. Red Flag.

Lots of red flags if you look deeply enough. I pasted his image in google, searched and found this, and many other scammer sites with him on it. Reported him to POF and Blocked him.

My mother just found out she is being scammed. The name he is using is Morrison Aldelbert. He told her that he is working overseas, has a son that lives in California, that his wife died 6 years ago and he was born in Germany.

He told my mom that he started a side business because he will be retiring soon and coming back to the US. He gave my mom a name of someone and their billing address then wanted her to go to Walmart to pick up the gaming systems then ship it to an address he would provide.

I have reached out to the two people that he gave my mom and they said yes their credit card information had been stolen. This guy is horrible.

If anyone has anymore information that you can provide me with let me know. We will be turning this over to the FBI.

Similar story to what has previously been said about him. Promises of love, marriage, happiness blah, blah, blah, you all know the story.
I now have a list of eight different names he goes by.

I've had my suspicions for a while, though research today has confirmed me that what I suspected is true, and then some. He doesn't know I'm on to him.

He has asked for money, well an Apple card, yet nothing has been given or sent to him and I've not received anything from him.

I too was romantically scammed by this sick individual. I met him on a site called Meetup. He text me and I started communicating with him daily. He hurriedly told me to download Hangouts so that we can chat.

That should have been my first clue. They always want to get off of a secured site. I did it and he did the same thing and he did to all the other ladies here. He showed me attention. Calling and texting everyday. He said that his wife died of ovarian cancer 6 mos ago and he lost his son in a car accident two years before the wife.

He said his parents were deceased and he had no relatives. That was a red flag, but it could be possible. He said he was a soil engineer and was working with the forestry improving their soil. He said he lived not far from me. We were suppose to meet in person but he secured a job in Bangladesh and we couldn’t meet.

That was a huge red flag. I had been cat fished a few times and When he said that I knew I would never meet him. I knew him asking for money was next. We corresponded for a month and he called and said his accounts had been hacked. I listened and consoled his ass but I didn’t offer any money.

The next day when he called he said he was so depressed because he had no money and was hungry. I still didn’t volunteer to send him money. So he ask me if could get a card and send him some money. I said, "I would never send someone money that I haven’t met in person."

I told him I had been cat fished before. He sounded surprised that I would think he would do such a thing. I said you made me feel really good for a month dude, but not good enough to send you MONEY$.

I’m glad I found this site because I never would have guessed he was a gay man. He could be HIV Positive. Not that we would have had sex since he like guys. Thanks guys for bravely telling your story about this dangerous criminal trolling the internet.

He loves to take sexy pics thinking that is a shoe in for a lonely woman. What a tangled mess his mind must be. SMH.

He didnt ask me for money until just lately that something happened on the rig and a couple of his men died. He need $4000 to fix and he couldn’t get into his Wells Fargo bank account. By I said absolutely not. So he decides to tell me that my email address will be on his suicide note and thus will be a contact.

So wouldn’t you know the hospital (fake) emailed me and told me that I was his only contact. And he was in the hospital unconscious. That I had better take care of him. Oh boy I could say a lot. Boy that glass block made the rounds. I got one as well. And yes he paid for them with the gift cards he asked us for. You can check online how the gift cards were used. You can even report them lost and request a new one with whatever balance is left on it.

I kept the original card as I am sure most of you did. That is all you need to request a replacement. I reported it stolen, which in a sense it was. I hope the authorities do what they can to stop him and his companions from victimizing more women.

Sad there are people like that.

I started talking to Tony on Match but I have seen him in POF under yet another name. I should’ve realized there was something amiss when I talked to him the first week. For the first couple of times his accent was Italian and he spoke so soft he was hard to understand. Then he started talking with a German accent but I guess with all the attention, I was a fairly new widow, I didn’t think much of it. We talked several times a day and texted. He talked of taking me to Italy and a future for us.

I believed him. Foolish, and I’m so embarrassed. How could I have just fallen so suddenly? Because I was still wounded from losing my husband. He preys on women who are down, who are looking for attention. He’s a viper after a baby rabbit. Relentless in his pursuit, he’s charming, and thoughtful and FAKE. The man is a Sociopath who I hoped Karma starts chasing him relentlessly. Looking back his photos don’t look exactly like the same man. When he asked for money, first time the amount was small and he was supposedly on business. Weeks went by. He had me transfer funds in his six figure bank account only to have it ‘frozen’ due to suspicious transactions.

His bank account is as phony as he is. That’s when he needed $200000 for a deal for his business. Since we had a future I should have no issues lending him the money. That’s when the alarm bells rang loudly. When I said no, his response was ‘What’s wrong with you?’. He was furious and tried to get money but in smaller amounts. When he realized I wasn’t giving him any, I never heard from him again. I know he’s taken many women for lots of money. I got away with a $100 lesson. I hope others will see thru him. And frankly, I hope he burns in HELL.

Went by the name Tony Adelbert. Said he was from Germany. Accent a little sketchy for German, I took German in school. Said he was middle man obtaining materials for contractors with large corporations. Said he was 56, and widowed with one daughter. Had interesting stories. Very suave and charming.

Got me to send him $100 in a debit card. Talked to him everyday at least 3x a day for about 6 weeks. Sent me a glass block etched with our names on it, very pretty.

Keeps deleting messages I place on Instagram, that alone is a full time job, so he must monitor everything very closly.

What i dont understand is when he shares family pictures of his daughter and son, if he is GAY how is it that he has kids? AND he told me his mother was dead, but she is often included in the family pictures along with someone called Gerda, who I am sure is in on the scam.

Well he better watch out, we now have an address and location of his apartment, if Interpol will not do anything, if you pay someone enough, there are people who will gladly do something for you. I am at that point, I know I will never get my money back, but to just scare the s*&t out of him would be well worth it.

I too was one of his victims. There is no doubt in my mind that he reads every one of the comments on this page. He is too full of himself not too. I have never understood how anyone can take advantage of other people for their own person gain. He is good at what he does but he has no conscience, no backbone and frankly is cowardly.

Preying on innocent people, what type of courage does that take? So Tony, Michael or whatever your name is, I do believe in Karma and the day you fall victim to one of your own scams can't come soon enough for me.

I choose not to be on FACEBOOK but thank you for the offer to communicate. My intention back in 2016 was to warn others about the man that I knew as "Benjamin Anton Ortega". The cut was still very fresh and I had no way of reaching others until I found this site. Unfortunately, the alert only worked for a select few.

I've resurfaced in order to express myself one last time before letting go. Benjamin, Paul, George, or Michael - however we choose to address this criminal, stole a large portion of my savings through strategic manipulation and assistance from others. However, what I won't continue to let him steal is my time. It's far too valuable and should only be gifted to family, friends, and lovers who reciprocate with the same level of honesty and enthusiasm.

There are two key points that all of you have to remember: HE IS A GAY MAN that will NEVER meet you, no matter how charming and convincing he may appear. YOU ARE NOT HIS KIND. He packages himself as a fantasy and that is where he will remain. Interestingly, I've even noticed that he had his teeth fixed since 2016. Most importantly, he and his background crew, will ALWAYS take your money for as long as you offer.

When this trauma ended, I felt date raped - no different than what I had experienced in college. The entire ride still seems unreal. Was I that insecure to let this charade go on for almost 7 months? I thought I had it all together. I thought I knew better. Clearly, I didn't. A sociopath's reality is not reality. It's a mental illness. He preyed on me, just like he preyed on all of you. He senses weakness, for that is when he strikes.

You won't get your money back and you will never get him but in the end, this guy taught me a very expensive lesson that I have come to embrace.

Since 2016, I spent a year penning an extremely candid account of my romantic history with men only to realize that I needed to stop pleasing others in fear of disapproval or emotional abandonment. It was time to continue my efforts towards self renewal and I was ready to be the steward of my own ship, to set my own boundaries, and ask for what I wanted, without ignoring my own needs. I'm an attractive, fit, young, smart, and mature woman who deserves more. I'm finally getting more and so should all of you.

I think I was at the beginning of his string of scams but I’m sure I wasn’t the first. He contacted me through a dating site in 2016 and it lasted for almost 7 months. We had quite a ride together then he dropped off the face of the earth once questions about his "business" surfaced. He has other people in on his scams, possibly women as well as men, but I’m not certain. He’s a sociopath who has zero remorse and he is becoming more and more addicted to the power that he perceives from his alias lifestyle. This guy writes well and he’s smart. BEWARE.

To the other "anonymous", where was the show aired and how do I view the episode? Did anything come of it? I’m in the US. We all have to be smarter ladies. His greed and ego will trip him up. I don’t wish to be a victim, again. What he did and continues to do is sociopathic behavior. Recognize that and stop him. The mere fact that he openly promotes himself on social media under various names and businesses, is proof that he feels untouchable. Make him touchable.

This is "ANONYMOUS" from the Sept 12 2017 post. I was shocked to see the following of posts about "Benjamin" but elated at the same time. We are all speaking up. "Benjamin" strung me along with each of the same tactics mentioned. I was newly divorced, looking for love again and thought he was the perfect man for me.

I chose not to look him up because I wanted to believe he was the real deal. Others had met online, why couldn't I? He started by sending flowers to my work, then he "agreed" to a phone call, only to be continued with texts and more texts. After our tentative meeting was set up, he suddenly couldn't make it because he had to take a "PJ" (private jet) to Germany to execute a newly awarded contract. He said he was a widower and had a daughter who lived in the eastern part of the US with her daughter and the father of their shared child.

As he left, the money requests started with a $100 ITunes gift card. My gut told me that his request regardless of the amount, was inappropriate. I even confronted him based on my Mom's and a close friend's concern. He talked me out of my doubt and stated how offended he became with my questions. Again, I chose to ignore my gut. All hell broke loose from the day he asked me to transfer funds.

HE IS A PROFESSIONAL SCAM ARTIST and I am not surprised that he is gay. Something seemed off in the way we talked about sex and how he posed in his pictures. European men are very comfortable with their sexuality but this went further. I even showed his picture to my gay male friend and he could see that what "Benjamin" was presenting to a heterosexual woman was not authentically straight.

This guy is an awful human being who needs to be stopped by the authorities. Unfortunately, I've deleted his 6 plus months of texts, emails, and images because I needed to move on. I gave this thief A LOT of money. If anyone has the ability, please catch him. He deserves jail time. Karma will come, "Benjamin".

He even has 3 variations on Facebook. Lives in Bedford NH is a widow has daughter and grandkids. Very charming with German accent - talked and text calling me my love, sweetie, my queen, but never actually used my name.

I suppose that was because he had lots of women he was stringing along. 3 days before we were to meet he suddenly had to leave because he had been awarded a contract from Michelin Tires that was worth over a million dollars but it was in Germany. Then came the issue he had me sign into his bank account and make transfers for him so I could see his bank balance of over $800,000.00.

Then because of me signing in his account was frozen for suspicious activity and then he asked for money.

At that point I did a reverse image search and WOW he came up with several different names Michael von raison or Michael v rberlin on instagram and George Murphy306 on instagram Paul Helmut 1965 on instagram. On Facebook he has a group called fit daddy stile and he claims to be a gay mans life coach. He isn’t even interested in women except to get their money.

Michaelvrberlin on instagram is all about his gay lifestyle. Shows all the clothes, shoes, watches, and sunglasses he has bought, vacations and parties that all paid with scammed money.

Names he uses are Tony Adlebert, Paul Helmut, George Murphy, and his real name is Michael Von Raison from Berlin Germany. He is gay, he has a website where he states he is a life coach for gay men.

DO NOT believe anything he tells you. He is only after one thing, your money. I believed him, I wish that I had known about all this, I would still have my money. I have documents and text, emails and other websites to prove all I am telling you.

DO Not talk to anyone on POF, that is where he found me as well, and one other woman I know about. He come across as sincere and charming, but he is worse . He has no heart or conscience. My goal is to stop other woman from his trap.

This man has posed as George Murphy and Paul Helmut on different dating sites. He claims to be from Morrison Colorado, then had to travel overseas for a contract on oil rig. Then comes the scam he starts asking for money, on Instagram there are tons of pictures of oil rigs under Paul Helmut 1965, and those are the pictures he sent me, so I imagine they are fake and downloaded from god knows where.

Thank god I cut him off as soon as he asked for money, reading what he has done here is disgusting, and how can someone continue to get away with this?

Started communicating 15 months ago, have learned that during this time when I thought we were planning a life together, that he is talking with and taking money from many other women. I wish I had looked into him better. I have over the course of the last year given him $300,00.00 dollars,

My gut instinct told me different, but as you read here he is very convincing and charming. Like others I really thought he was honest and loved me. I will be doing whatever I can to bring him to a top. I will notify whomever and whatever I can to bring justice to all, we will not get our money, but hopefully he will not continue to do this.

I believe he told me his name is Tony Adelbert, born in Germany. DOB 8/15/62 Mother still living, daughter in SLC Ut. Told me he is in Capetown SA. I am still in contact with him, however I will continue to play him as he has us, I will be working with Law Enforcement.

He is the criminal here, we are women who were wanting Love and found him instead!!!

DO NOT fall for anything he says, he has an answer for anything you question!!!

I have been communicating with him since February 2018, gave me his online banking info to make business transactions for him then because I did supposedly his account was frozen due to fraudulent activity because of my IP address, he then asked for money to pay for supplies and unfortunately as I believed him and wanted so much to find love again I sent him thousands of dollars, too embarrassed to say how much.

I am still in touch with him 10 months later and he says we will get married about when he started asking for Itunes gift cards that's when I decided to do reverse image look up and found lots of different photos of him on dozens of dating websites all over the world.

I am so gutted by this and so embarrassed that I fell for his lies. Claimed to have a daughter and grand kids and to be from Boston but had to leave a few days before we were to meet due to being awarded a contract in Denmark!

He said he was a consultant fund manager with Bains Investment and he needed my address to be his business representative. I didn't give it to him. He wooed me for a month and a half with daily emails, texts and phone calls.

Said he was half Italian and during the course of our correspondence claimed his mother died in Italy.

Went into incredible specific detail about his life and what he was doing each day. He was incredibly convincing. Claimed to love me, said he was retiring to spend time with me, told me he knew we were meant to be together, wanted to spend the rest of his life with me.

I believed him until he asked me for my address. When I refused, he started backing off. Just told me yesterday the reason he disappeared for the last few days is because he's in the hospital. Wow. I think I will send him a screen shot of him on this scammers page.

I wonder if these are his real pictures. He even sent me a video of speaking to me.

This guy tried to play me too. Online romanced me for a month and a half and finally asked for my physical address for "some deal" he needed to do and I refused.

Said his name is Paul Smith and he works as a consultant fund manager for Bains Captial Investment company. I confirmed with HR for the company that no such person works there and that a slew of women have been calling reporting catfishers that claim they work for that company.

I fell for this guy and thought he was real until he asked me for my address. Then when I refused he disappeared for a few days and then texted and called saying he was in the hospital.

Unbelievable.

I feel hurt that I wasted a month and a half of my life and was duped but I'm glad I found out the truth.

Went on for over 6 months.....the most convincing words ever. Had some gut feelings that I ignored because I believed, really believed in our fate. Several thousand dollars later, I've accepted that I have been scammed. Really scammed. Still in shock quite frankly. The hurt and disappointment cut very deep.

Stay away. Stay far away. He will charm you quickly, he will make you believe in a future together, that you are the only one for him. Devastated at how awful this ride has been. Stay away, ladies. Please.

If I could prevent this from happening to another, then it was all worth it. Ashamed at how someone with absolutely no morals took my kindness and generosity for granted. Question everything now.

Don't even know if that's his real name.
