Hi, I met Tom on a dating site and he claimed to be 51 years old with one daughter of 15 years living with his parents in Istanbul. He is living in Chicago for the last 17 years. Claimed to be half German (mother) and half turkish. We spoke over the phone several times and he has an accent. Not sure if it is African or Turkish?

He also shared how much he earns and quite proud of it. Wants to come over to Asia for a few days to see me. Has not asked for money yet? I proposed video chat but unable to because he is currently at the rig. Wonder if he is for real or a scammer?

Has anyone come across him before? Would love to hear from you.

Im the husband. My wife told me she had feelings for a man. After sinking into depression and almost divorcing, I began to realize that this mans story was too perfect. I began connecting the dots and google searched to find this and other stories exactly like hers.

I was relieved to show it to her. Thankfully she made all the right decisions by choosing me before hand.

Now I don’t have to worry about a man ready to swoop in. To tell the truth, it was funny and very sad.

Yes he told me he was from the UK also so I had my best friend look it up there and no one as the names he gave me. Then he was from Florida, Texas, Chicago, New Mexico, guess he did not know I had friends in the place he said he was from. My Lawyer checked out every single one and flew to a few of the places for he wanted him caught and stopped.

If someone says Oil rig ohhh I delete them right away, unless my cousin knows them since he works on the one this guy said he was on.

I too started getting calls on my home phone because I would Not give him my cell number which he got very angry over. Cannot believe James/Eubanks Anthony is at it again. Was shocked to see his picture posted as Tom Erol. What a joke he is. I believe that picture is from the guy off the commercial Expedia.

I have even seen our weather man's picture being used.

These scammers have no clue we are out to get them and try to stop them. Facebook has so many, I have had like 27 requests in the last two days newly made profiles, how Ironic.

Be safe Ladies and Men out there. Be Careful sending pictures too, my friend had hers put on a site without a top on which it did not when she sent it. They sell them, they share them, and there is always more then one you talk to as I found out.

He told me exactly the same thing. Was coming to see me in Vancouver, Canada. A few days before he was to arrive he asked to borrow money. I immediately said no. I didn't have to know how much he was asking for.

I have pinned him down to be in Sri Lanka. Since calling BS I have received texts on my cell claiming I've won money and I have a credit due. I have gotten a phone call from an individual claiming to be the Canada Revenue Agency.

At no point ever will CRA call you!!! They communicate via letter in the mail. Not emailed.

Look him up on Google image search, he is on many sites and he has now one woman on his page who is Amanda Maylam on Facebook. Even a Russian site. He is all over the place.

Hello, If you talk to Tom Again as I said I know him as James or Eubanks, tell him I sure would love to have all my money back. He will know whom I am for I got another request from him not long ago. For I know he is not in the Gulf since the Lawyer got a court order to check with BP and all the other Oil Rigs.

He is one of the biggest Scammers there is. Met him on Facebook. I wrote of him a long time ago but cannot find it on here no longer. Take care and please be careful. He will love you from the moon and back and as deep as the Sea and Ocean, if you do you say you think he is a scammer he will get mad and say you do not love him.

Wonderful poems but look them up on the net and they are there which many have used. Beautiful songs almost every day he sent me.

I know this guy as James Anthony or Eubanks Anthony. Be careful he is slick, he knows what he is doing and usually his machine is broken down or he gets hurt. He loves you and wants to spend the rest of his life with you.

But he needs to fix his drill.

Please be careful, as I was with him for almost two years, and he is not out in the Gulf of Mexico, or on any Rig out there. He is such a smooth talker and good looking but WOW please be careful. He had threatened me and my family over money.

I have a friend that has been contacted by this guy and I had a feeling that it was a scam from the beginning. I was just looking for confirmation that this guy is scamming. He is quoting the same story about being from Chicago with kids and working on a rig.

Ladies please use your brains if this is the actual pic of Erol as good lookin as he is. Why would he be on a dating site as he has no problem getting a women. A lot of times these pic are stolen and they always use white type figures because the Nigerian and African are of dark skin and know you will not send them money.

If you are talking to anyone overseas stop because they only want your money not your love.
If you have money then they will talk to you.

Ladies stop feeding these monsters who steal your heart, your money and leave you hurt and in debt and maybe lose your homes. Money in the bank and could be in trouble for money laundering.

The online sites tell you not to send money to unknown people. Are you sending funds in their real names or someone else.

I just went shopping today but if i had sent money to these jokers I would not have anything to spend on me.

Ladies we have got to stop supporting men.

He is a scammer. Anyone on oil rigs are scammers. If they vow their love to you quickly or write these long emails they are scammers. I have about 30 of these guys trying to talk to me. They change their names on the dating sites and pics but still the same person.

Do not believe him.

What kind of accent does he have? Do you think it matches his picture. I think I am being scammed right now. I'm going through a similar situation.

After I gave him money but then accused him of being a scammer and he went mental and begs I believe him he is not. It's been 1.5 years and he still claims he's not a scammer.

He says he's in the military.

If its too good to be true, think twice. The dating site's are littered with catfishers from nigeria, Ghana ans Benin. They want one thing only to gain your trust with there meaningless words. They will message and groom you to believe ans trust there story. They use very scripted timelines to accomplish the task which is ultimately tear you down enough to believe, then ask for the money. Some are inpatient, some are methodical enought to go upwards of a year to achieve the goal of draining you financially.

They are parasites, and most lower tier cat fishers play a 3 week script where they Will text, call or ask you to use a messaging app like whats app, viber or hang outs.

Don't let all the honey bunny and sweetie fool you. See it for what it is. I have many of these come clean and share who they really are. Then they play the game in reverse.

Ive played 100's of these dating site predators. Get out while you can with your heart and finances in tact
