Wyland’s art Scam

A person claiming to be Wyland, a well known artist who lives in Florida and California asked to follow me on Instagram and I accepted because I had met the real Wyland and collected his art works.

For 2 months, this person convinced me he was Wyland and at the end of the month asked for money and requested me to contact his assistant to purchase the Painting I had requested.

My daughter became concerned because of all the scams, and called The real Wyland’s gallery, and he and his manager spoke with her and called me. They knew nothing about me purchasing a painting and that Wyland had not been messaging me.

Unfortunately I had wired the money for the portrait the day before I found out the truth.

Please Beware.

Somehow the fake Wyland knew I collected Wyland’s art.
